We heard an interesting (unverified, but likely true) report from a ranger at Hobbs State Park, near Bentonville, Arkansas where the Walmart clan hails from. They told us that one time Tom and Steuart, and their entourage, helicoptered to one of the park’s mountain biking trail heads, lowered out their bikes and themselves, and made a day of it. Helicopter picked ’em up at the other end.
Bud Colligan is a sociopath of course, but he has done some nice things in Santa Cruz. His demented obsession with fighting public transit is a deep misstep in his legacy. If you know him, maybe slip him a roofie and suggest that he funds some trails instead of lawsuits? (Don’t actually give him drugs without consent. But could you put in a word of sanity to him? k thx bai.)
